Ok so now he is finally down to his goal weight of 120 lbs and he is 5 foot 10 and a half and I am just so happy for him but now I'm worried if he might be a little to thin because I remember before he lost any weight when I would give him a hug I couldn't fell any of his bones but when he went to weigh himself this morning he came running to me and said he finally reached his goal weight of 120 so I gave him a big hug and it was weird because I remember when I used to hug him and how it was harder to reach around him and now when I hugged him he just so much smaller and I felt his rib cage for the first time in years so then I asked him to take his shirt off and when he did he looked so skinny because his belly was completely flat and I noticed that he had on a pair of shorts that were snug on him last year and now he had to cinch them in with an elastic belt because his other belts dont fit him anymore and he must of noticed me looking at them so he said hey mom look how lose my shorts are and as soon as he unbuckled his belt the shorts fell right off of him and so would his boxers if he wasn't holding on to them and I just stared at him and at how thin he was and I was wondering do you think he is healthy or should gain weight because I can see his rib cage and his hip bones and I dont know if that is healthy or not
If they are not to fat but have a little extra meat on then then yes you shouldn't put them on a diet because my son was a little chubby at about 12 and he used to wear husky pants but once he hit his growth spurt he thinned out alot and now wears slim pants
Afswimmergirl are you saying that he is perfect and doesn't need to lose any weight or are you saying he is thin because you mention both in your comment
To make them lose weight give them little food and make them exercise alot so that they are burning more calories then they are taking in
If he woulnt eat vegetables then don't
give him anything else
exept water and milk
and eventually he will
become hungry enough
and will eat then that's
what I did with my son
and he went 4 days
without any food and
believe me I did start to
worry because I could
start to see some of his
ribs but on the 4th day he came up to my and said mommy can I have some vegetables I'm starving and that's when all my hard work paid off
Not trying to be mean hear but he should lose about 10 or 15 lbs you should sign him up for track and swimming they will help him lose most of his body fat and gain lean muscle
