Despite the wide variety of the machines, there are only a few among these exercise equipments which can be found in use and being practically used day in and day out by the average fitness freaks. People tend to consider many features like the expediency, comfort, and the ease of use, cost, and maintenance and storage space etc when they select exercise equipments as their favorite routine ones for daily use. Among the favorite and the most commonly used list of exercise equipments are the following ones as detailed below:

  • Treadmills

Treadmills vary hugely, both in price and the special additional features too. Selection of other additional features is left to the user’s discretion, but one additional feature is a necessity- the automatic stop facility. This involves the use of a key which is connected to the user and when pulled out of the machine brings the treadmill to an instant halt, thereby preventing any mishaps, if the person slips and falls down

  • Elliptical Trainer

This type of exercise equipment provides a very stress free and safe way to exercise, without permitting much of strain on the muscles of the lower extremities. The plus point about these elliptical trainers is that it is totally straightforward and smooth to use, irrespective of whether the user is a newbie or an expert. Also the elliptical trainer allows for maximum adaptability and personalization, by means of the adjustable resistance.

  • Stationary Bicycles

The stationary bicycles are the simplest type of exercise equipments and as they are the most simplest, they are used by the beginners or the people who cannot do extreme work outs, either due to medical problems or due to the lack of any exercise activity prior to using the stationary bicycle.

  • Exercise Ball

These are actually a fun way to work out, and have been found to be used in some of the gyms and the homes as well. The basics of the exercise ball are kept to the minimum, because of the original use for the children suffering from muscular dystrophy, but the benefits are immense.shutterstock_57400546
