First you always want to keep them thin even when there little never even give them a chance to be fat and you especially want to keep them thin during when there preparing for the big puberty growth spurt because if you let them get a belly witch is what there body wants to do then they will be fat the rest of there teenage years but if you keep them thin witch is hard to do but you can't give them as much food as they want witch may sound mean but you have to restrict there food intake a little bit so that they cant eat more calories then there burning and you want to make them exercise so they will stay thin and then when they hit there growth spurt they will become very skinny for a few months and you may want to fatten them up but don't and they will stay slim for the rest of there teenage years Hope this helps
