Jungle diet was introduced by Dr. Daphne Miller. It is based on the theory that foods with just the basic and local ingredients are actually healthier to eat. The healthiest foods are those that our ancestors have eaten - no preservatives and just fresh local produce. With the many different kinds of foods available today – mostly instant foods - the occurrence of illnesses and diseases has significantly increased. The jungle diet takes us back to the olden days when food was basic and all locally produced, ingredients are in moderation, and illnesses were not rampant.
