  Taking metformin together with other diet pills is not recommended. Metformin acts by lowering your insulin levels thus decreasing your hunger sensation while other diet pills may have direct effect on the brain specifically on hunger sensation. Metformin and other diet pills can have reactions towards each other. It can either be potentiating or antagonistic effect. Another problem in mixing up weight loss medications is that it may yield to serious liver damage and other complications.

  Metformin is basically a drug used to treat diabetes. But nowadays, study shows that it can also be helpful for non-diabetic people who want to lose weight. Metformin works by lowering insulin level. When the insulin level goes up, it sends a signal to the brain and hunger sensation is felt. Therefore, if insulin level is lowered, the hunger sensation is reduced.
