Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics is the course taken to be a Nutritionist-Dietitian. A licensure examination allows you to practice and be a professional either in the food service, community, fitness centers or in a hospital. Being a Registered Nutritionist-Dietitian (RND) do not make you a doctor but makes you a professional that is responsible for the total well being of people concerning nutritional care. There are branches of nutrition that has to be mastered in the clinical or hospital settings making dietitian look like doctors: Diet therapy where in food is used for therapeutic purposes. Clinical nutrition is the modification of nutritional needs for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases.
