  For people who are not too inclined to follow usual exercise routines, taekwondo is a good alternative. Compared to usual exercise routine, taekwondo is more interesting and fun. You get the benefit of burning excess fats in a fun and exciting way, plus you can also use taekwondo as self defence. With taekwondo, you develop muscle strength and flexibility , and you also develop self esteem and confidence. The amount of calories you burn from taekwondo is just the same or sometimes even greater than going to the gym and doing usual exercise routines.
